In alignment to CCE 2021, we aims to develop in our students:
a) Good character: Have a sound moral compass and a strong sense of right and wrong, think critically and ethically, be discerning in judgment, take responsibility for choices and actions, be caring towards others and strive for excellence;
b) Resilience and social-emotional well-being: Have a balanced sense of self, form healthy relationships, be resilient when faced with challenges, find meaning in life, and have a sense of gratitude and appreciation;
c) Future readiness: Have a sense of purpose in life, develop the dispositions of adaptability and lifelong learning so as to be able to navigate education and career pathways purposefully and take on the challenges of the future, including the world of work and life; and
d) Active citizenship: Develop a strong national identity based on a sense of belonging to the nation, a sense of hope in themselves and the future, an awareness of the reality of Singapore’s vulnerabilities and constraints, and the will to act on improving the lives of others, and building a future for our nation

Student Leadership Development Programme
Aims

provide opportunities for student to lead and serve self, peers and school.

In Peiying Primary School, we adopt a 3-Tiered leadership approach to build character and develop our students’ potential. The school provides leadership opportunities to stretch students’ abilities to lead self, peers, school and community. The school nurtures leadership potential of its students through



Values in Action (VIA)
Our VIA programme aims to develop our students to be active contributors and concerned citizens, fulfilling their responsibility to peers, school, community and nation.
The school’s VIA programme focuses on two key areas; Act of kindness and Environmental Conservation. The level P1 – 6 VIAs are designed to support the learning and application of good values, knowledge and skills to attain the CCE learning outcomes in a progressive manner.

National Education
To deepen students' understanding of Singapore's history and values, assembly programme, recess activities and stimulation exercises have been designed to enhance and/or complement students' learning activities during the commemoration of the 4 key national events.

Student Recognition (i.e. PRIDE Star Award & Catch Me Right Award)
PRIDE Star Award & Catch Me Right Award aims to:

encourage students to demonstrate core values consistently.

Recognise students for demonstrating the core values, showing good character and for being a role model among their peers.
In each term, students who have displayed exemplary conduct are nominated by teachers and/ or peers for the award.
Education and Career Guidance Experience
At Peiying Primary School, Education and Career Guidance (ECG) initiatives enhance students' learning experiences by fostering self-awareness, nurturing career aspirations, and equipping them with lifelong skills through experiential learning. These efforts aim to cultivate a growth mindset and resilience, empowering students to embrace future opportunities with confidence. Through meaningful engagement sessions, students gain a deeper appreciation for the value of all occupations in society, build positive connections within the community, and develop the ability to make informed decisions. They are also encouraged to view setbacks as valuable opportunities for self-improvement and personal growth, preparing them to navigate life's challenges with optimism and perseverance.

Values for Breakfast
Values for Breakfast is a lesson package design to engage students in the explicit teaching of the school core values. These lessons help our students to gain better understanding of the core values.
